We made the partial payment to Lighthouse Studio today and Ming Song will be our videographer. He will be going away somewhere for reservist and will only be back a day before our wedding!!!!! We are taking the chances…Let’s cross our fingers and hope he returns on schedule.
Lazy Sunday…lazy to even think where to go. Guess we are beginning to feel the stress and exhaustion from all the planning for the wedding and my workload. Have been juggling between work and wedding preps, thanks to Ju for her understanding and helping with the preps…sometimes without me.
We needed some furnishings for the home, ready for the wedding. Left home @ 7pm for Ikea…haha we are really lazy people! Ikea at Alexandra was totally a let down. Don’t think they replenish their goods as frequent as the Ikea at Tampines…there were lesser designs too. We ended up having an extended dinner at the cafe and came home empty handed.
Yummy…our guests are in for a treat! The 9 courses dinner we had at Wan Hao was extremely good, especially the noodles and shark’s fin soup. The big bowl of noodle looked ordinary, but when we actually tried it, the taste was beyond words. Should have taken a photo of everyone’s expression when the noodle was presented to us….it looked like some ordinary Zhi Cha noodles. That happened to be one of the best dishes we had that evening.
Our selection of dishes was slightly different from the usual wedding menu.
Hope our guests will enjoy the dinner as much as we did…
Got to start getting some stuff for the wedding…
Today, Ju was out shopping with mummy (got to stop calling her aunty already, still not use to it just yet). Bought ourselves a set of new bedsheet set, Shecando. Nice colour, powder pink.
There are still more to shop for…
Preps for the wedding banquet are in the pipeline. There is surely something to worried about or to do everyday…end of the day, it still feels like nothing has been done! Oh dear, guess we are getting the wedding fever syndrome, if there’s such a thing. We will continue our discussion in the bedroom before we sleep and it normally dragged till 3 to 4am! Still, it felt like nothing has been done haha.
Been working real hard on the invitation cards since Tuesday…sms friends to inform them and get their addresses, write on the cards, print labels for the envelopes, bundled them for mailing and hand delivering. Cards got to be sent out before 4th April.
Met up with Ivah, our wedding coordinator at Marriott, earlier today and we tidy up most of the important details for the banquet. The one thing that got us worried even after we left the hotel was the choice of favours that Marriott has for us to choose from. Nothing really presentable to give our guests…are we being fussy pots with too high an expectation? Maybe…lets see what we can do and work around it…
Oh and the cake, all the dummy cakes are 5 tiers high and…looked really dummy! Both of us simply can’t get down with selecting which dummy we wanted haha.
Ye ye ye, we are finally married after 3 years, 11 mths and 13 days of courtship! We exchanged our vows and rings this morning. It was a simple ROM gathering for close families and relatives.
My thoughts? Relief, familyhood on the way, achievement and definitely looking forward to the next phase…having kids hehe.
We wanted an extraordinary wedding card in line with our specially planned wedding…One that belongs to US and no just any ordinary wedding cards.
Took us about a month to select the right paper material and the right colours to match. The end result was satisfactory.
Without the help of Alvin, our good friend, who had painstakingly designed the look and feel of the card, all these would not have been possible. Thomas, another good friend of ours, has also offered to provide with the printing of cards…
We are extremely grateful to them for staying patient and all readily to accommodate to our requirements when we make several rounds of amendments and test prints!
Sending the artwork to the printer for its final print tomorrow…FINALLY….
